 The OK-compost certificate guarantess that the raw material is degradable within 12 weeks in an industrial composting plant. Complete biodegradation takes 6 months. Sometimes, this degradation requires a temperature peak. Therefore, these products cannot be composted at home, which is possible with products carrying an OK-compost Home certificate. This certificate guarantees that the raw material can be composted in a private composting appliance, and that it will have no negative influence on the quality of the compost.
